What is Network Marketing?
It seems like an easy question, but when you stop to think about it could you really give an accurate description of what network marketing is? If you were asked this question right now how would you answer it? Would you say, "It's a business where you recruit people and then they recruit more people", or could you really give someone a concise answer? To be honest . . . the reason why I am writing this article is because,
although I have been an active network marketer for over two
years, I doubt my own ability to answer this question
without stumbling over my words. According to "Network Marketing for Dummies" By Zig Ziglar
and John P Hayes here is the full concise definition of
network marketing (p. 2): Network Marketing is a system for distributing goods and
services through networks of thousands of independent
salespeople, or distributors. The distributors earn money by
selling goods and services and also recruiting and
sponsoring other salespeople who become part of their
downline, or sales organizations. Distributors earn monthly
commissions or bonuses on the sales revenue generated by
their downline. Now that's the technical definition, but I want to ask you a
question . . . What is network marketing to you? Here's what it is to me . . . It's the most powerful wealth creation vehicle on the
planet. It's the gold rush of the 21st century. It's a
powerful life changer. It's hard. It's frustrating at time.
It's a roadmap to financial freedom. It's a character
builder. I guess when you sum it all up, network marketing is simply

They assumed that I, their eager reader, knew their meaning.
How to Get Rich with Network Marketing
Network marketing is a marketing strategy being increasingly put to use by hundreds of home business owners nowadays. Network marketing is basically retailing products by using independent distributors. These distributors build and manage their own sales force by recruiting others to sell products. Each person in this downline is a distributor in his own right with his own sales team. This way a "network" of sales people for a particular product is formed. The upside is that the originating product manufacturer or marketer does not have to bear costly overheads of recruiting and maintaining their own sales team. Compensation for each distributor or sales person includes one's own sales and a percentage of the sales of his or her entire downline.
The Returns of MLM
Distributors are paid through compensation plans. These plans consist of rules. Distributors get commissions on their sales but rules are the ones that actually decide how much the distributors would get. Every MLM company makes two types of rules, positive and negative, to control the distributors. The positive rules enable them to acquire incentives while on the other hand negative rules warn them about going haywire.
